ACHIVEMENTS OF THE KOGI STATE VIGILANTE SERVICE

  1. Ajaokuta L.G.A :- On 15th February 2021, the vigilantes arrested a suspected Kidnapper, after some exchange of gunshots with the gang. Items recovered from him included charms and cartridges. See photo No 1.
  2. On the 8th February 2021, the vigilantes had an encounter with a gang of armed robbers of which one of them was killed. See photo No2.
  3. Igalamela L.G.A
  4. On 11th January 2021, a suspected thief (Joseph Sani) was arrested for stealing various items that include Android phone, four pieces of matrasses, four plastic chairs a tiger generator and the sum of ten thousand Naira only (N10,000). Suspect and items recovered were handed over to the Nigeria Police Force Odolu Division for further investigation and prosecution see photo No 3.
  5. Ofu L.G.A
  6. On 14th February 2021 at about 11:00pm, the Vigilante arrested ten (10) suspected kidnappers. Suspect and exhibits recovered were handed over to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation. See photo No 4.
  7. On the 16th January 2021, one Ibrahim Redwan was arrested for stealing a welding machine and Keke Napep. Suspect and exhibits were handed over to the Nigeria Police Force Itobe Division for further investigation. See photo No 5
  8. On 13th February 2021 two (2) suspected Kidnappers were arrested by the vigilantes and were handed over to the Nigeria Police Force Itobe Division for further investigations. One of the suspects was identified as Mr Okeme Joel. See photo No 6.
  9. Okene L.G.A
  10. On 4th January 2021, a suspected armed robber who snatched a motorcycle at gun point Igarra Edo State was arrested by the vigilantes at Okene. Suspect and the recovered motorcycle were handed over to the Nigeria Police Force Igarra division for further investigation. See photo No7.
  11. On 11th February 2021, two (2) suspected fraudsters’ were arrested by the vigilantes for defrauding one Mr Okatachi Salawu to the sum of three hundred and fifty thousand naira only (N350, 000.00). The suspects were handed over to the Nigeria Police Force Okene division for further investigation and prosecution. See photo No8.
