FUNCTIONS OF ALL DEPERTMENT
HEAD
The Headquarters Kogi State Vigilante Service is administered by 10 Departments with Comptroller-General as the head. All the Departmental Heads are expected to be not below the rank of Assistant Comptroller. The Departments are Operation, Training, Administration, Logistics, Finance and Accounts, Medical, Legal, Crime and Intelligence, Public Relation, Religions Affairs and Provost Marshal.
Department of Operations
The Department of Operation
The Department of Operation is responsible for the general provision and guideline of all operation within Kogi State Vigilante Service. As the most senior Department, it also plan and execute joint operation with others sister services e.g. the Armed Forces, NPF etc.
The Department of Administration
The Department of Administration is the hallmark of the service. It is shouldered with the responsibilities of coordinating, monitoring and execution of all activities within the service. It is the main department responsible for the human and material resources. Some of its functions includes:
The Department of Training
The Department of Training is next in hierarchy of command at the Headquarters. It shouldered with the responsibilities of planning and coordination of all training activities of the service within the year with the approval of comptroller. In addition, it conducts regular retraining of personnel, organised regular workshops and seminars and promotion exams for the officers. Department of Administration
The Department of Administration
The Department of Administration is the hallmark of the service. It is shouldered with the responsibilities of coordinating, monitoring and execution of all activities within the service. It is the main department responsible for the human and material resources. Some of its functions includes:
a. Documentation and maintenance of all service personnel files and records
b. Deployment and Transfer of service personnel.
c. Anchor the discipline of staff in conjunction with the provost officer.
