The Comptroller General of the Kogi State Vigilante Service, Cdr. A.M. Adinoyi has successfully concluded the sensitization and verification program in Ijumu LGA, Kabba Bunu LGA, Mopa Muro LGA, Yagba East LGA and YagbaWest LGA, respectively. recently, before the national protest, he has concluded Kogi LGA and Lokoja LGA in Kogi West and all the five Councils in Kogi Central, including Itobe in Ofu LGA, Kogi East.
This initiative, which aimed to enhance the effectiveness of Kogi State Vigilante Service, involved comprehensive workshops, personnel audit, and field assessments.
During the program, he visits traditional rulers; HRM Oba Solomon Dele Owonyi, Obaro of Kabba and Chairman Okun Traditional Council highly represented by Honorable Chief Emmanuel O. funsho. HRM Oba (Engr.) Alfred Modupe Aiyedogbon JP. The Alamuro of Amuro Mopa LGA. HRM Oba Ayodele Irukera, Chairman Traditional Council Yagba West. He also visits conventional security agencies in the respective to foster synergy. This approach is aimed at improving security and ensuring effective community engagement in maintaining safety and order.
The program focused on educating participants about their roles and responsibilities, improving operational standards, wellfare, and verifying the credentials of existing personnel. By addressing key areas such as security protocols and community engagement, the program is expected to strengthen vigilance efforts and foster better cooperation between local communities and security agencies.
The successful completion of this program marks a significant step towards enhancing the overall effectiveness of vigilante services in the region, ensuring a more coordinated and efficient approach to community security.
