The new Comptroller General, Cmdr. AbdulRahman Adinoyi Mariam organized and commenced an extensive security sensitization and verification program across the 21 local governments of the state.

The primary goal of the program is to enhance the awareness of security protocols among personnel and rigorously verify their credentials and security clearances. This initiative aims to address potential vulnerabilities and reinforce trust in the management of critical operations.
As part of the program, a series of sensitization workshops was conducted in all KSVS commands in Kogi Central, which are Adavi, Ajaokuta, Okehi, Okene and Ogori. Lokoja and Koton-Karfi of Kogi West and Itobe in Kogi East, respectively. These workshops are designed to educate personnel on best practices for safeguarding information, recognizing security threats, and responding to potential breaches. Expert trainers lead these sessions to ensure comprehensive understanding and effective implementation of security measures.
The verification component involves a thorough review of personnel records, including background checks and validation of security clearances. This process intends to ensure that only qualified and vetted individuals are entrusted with sensitive responsibilities.
